"Even by the accelerated standards of the high-tech world, the growth enjoyed by companies making mobile applications, or apps, over the last two years is remarkable. One of those companies is Edmonton's Fluik Entertainment Inc., an outfit that creates games for iPhones, iPads and Android devices. Their office reflects that trajectory, too – nine of the company's 13 employees, who do everything from programming and developing the games to providing the art and music that support them, are all crammed into a single room. That might explain how they developed Office Jerk, a game that allows users to toss objects, such as pies, staplers and even dynamite at a virtual workplace nemesis: given the close quarters that Fluik's employees operate in, it's easy to imagine the source of the game's inspiration."
